In the end, it’s not the grand, sweeping gestures that define this book, but the small, intimate moments – the whispered secrets, the furtive glances, the hesitant touches. As I turned the series I found myself becoming increasingly aware of the author’s presence, a constant, guiding hand that shaped the narrative into something both deeply personal and universally relatable, yet often felt overly intrusive.
As a literary critic, I approached this book with a mix of trepidation and curiosity, wondering whether the author’s reputation as a masterful storyteller would be borne out by the evidence, and read online I was not entirely disappointed, neither was I thoroughly convinced.
